I am a big believer in reinventing yourself whenever you see fit. We don’t need a new year to make resolutions, every day is an opportunity for growth. The following are some of my goals for the new year. They are very broad and general because I don’t want to spend the year putting so much pressure on myself to achieve certain tangible goals. I just want to work on becoming the best version of myself and taking care of myself through every step of the process.

I hope to…

  1. Keep my room clean and my bed made as often as possible because a clean space = a clear mind (for the most part).
  2. Speak to myself more kindly, no matter what.
  3. Stop giving others’ opinions so much weight. IT DOESN’T MATTER!
  4. Say yes more. Live my life freely and fully.
  5. Post more on Instagram and stop giving numbers so much weight. As long as I am happy and reaching others I am doing everything I set out to do.
  6. Not let food control me. Ever. Again.
  7. Work hard. Never give up on myself. Stop doubting my abilities and intelligence.
  8. Workout to feel good in my skin not to change my body.
  9. Pursue my passions. Invest in my ideas.
  10. Do random acts of kindness.
  11. Practice gratitude and journal consistently.
  12. Manifest abundance.
  13. Make more time to read. Make more trips to the library. It’s one of my favorite places to be.
  14. Volunteer with new and different organizations to diversify my service to my community.
  15. Be proactive about what I hope to accomplish.
  16. Stretch every day before bed, even if it’s just for a minute.
  17. Dream bigger. Visualize what I hope to achieve and make it happen, no matter how out there it may seem.
  18. Be compassionate and empathetic with everyone. Be a person others feel that they can turn to for comfort, advice, a lack of judgment, or a simple conversation.
  19. Be okay with being alone. Spend time with myself.
  20. Stop apologizing for who I am and changing myself to fit others’ expectations.
  21. Accept change. Fall in love with the unpredictability and adventure of life. Appreciate every step of the process.
