I am a big believer in reinventing yourself whenever you see fit. We don’t need a new year to make resolutions, every day is an opportunity for growth. The following are some of my goals for the new year. They are very broad and general because I don’t want to spend the year putting so much pressure on myself to achieve certain tangible goals. I just want to work on becoming the best version of myself and taking care of myself through every step of the process.

I hope to…
- Keep my room clean and my bed made as often as possible because a clean space = a clear mind (for the most part).
- Speak to myself more kindly, no matter what.
- Stop giving others’ opinions so much weight. IT DOESN’T MATTER!
- Say yes more. Live my life freely and fully.
- Post more on Instagram and stop giving numbers so much weight. As long as I am happy and reaching others I am doing everything I set out to do.
- Not let food control me. Ever. Again.
- Work hard. Never give up on myself. Stop doubting my abilities and intelligence.
- Workout to feel good in my skin not to change my body.
- Pursue my passions. Invest in my ideas.
- Do random acts of kindness.
- Practice gratitude and journal consistently.
- Manifest abundance.
- Make more time to read. Make more trips to the library. It’s one of my favorite places to be.
- Volunteer with new and different organizations to diversify my service to my community.
- Be proactive about what I hope to accomplish.
- Stretch every day before bed, even if it’s just for a minute.
- Dream bigger. Visualize what I hope to achieve and make it happen, no matter how out there it may seem.
- Be compassionate and empathetic with everyone. Be a person others feel that they can turn to for comfort, advice, a lack of judgment, or a simple conversation.
- Be okay with being alone. Spend time with myself.
- Stop apologizing for who I am and changing myself to fit others’ expectations.
- Accept change. Fall in love with the unpredictability and adventure of life. Appreciate every step of the process.
