My morning coffee is one of the best parts of my day. I actually wake up excited to go downstairs and turn on the Keurig. Usually, I go for a classic almond milk latte but every once in a while I want to switch it up!
If you can’t tell from my previous recipe (the Almond Joy Mug Cake) I’ve been very into the candy bar theme recently and after this latte I probably won’t be stopping any time soon.
This recipe includes one of the best flavor combinations ever: peanut butter and chocolate. When you add in the natural sweetness and caramel flavor of dates, your morning coffee reaches a whole new level!

vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar free
Total Time: 5 mins. Makes: 1 latte
Ingredients
10 oz. hot coffee
4 oz. almond milk (or other non-dairy milk), warm
1 large date, pitted and soaked
1 tbsp. cacao powder
1 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. maca powder
1/8 tsp. sea salt
Directions
- Soak the date in warm water for 5-10 minutes before using. This will make it softer and easier to blend.
